The Most Important Thing

This is a short poem written a few years ago. I thought I would share it with you. This poem is published in "Discovered, 2013 Poetry Collection". 

The Most Important Thing

What is the most important thing

that joy and peace and happiness bring?

Is it to hear the bell a-ring:

or listen to children laugh and sing?

The most important thing, they say

is only to live, day by day

to give the livestock drink and hay

or win the game just play by play

The greatest, most important thing

is not to work or even sing,

It is to listen to our King;

Joy, peace, happiness to Him bring.
